gWLM has generated one or more SRDs based on the systems you specified
and the compartment type you selected.
For each SRD, gWLM presents the following information:
Name of the Shared Resource Domain
Mode
The mode is advisory by default. In this mode, gWLM allows you to
monitor what it would do--without it actually managing resources.
Compartments in the SRD
This box lists the compartments to be managed in the SRD.
Number of additional workloads to create
Length of allocation interval
In this step:
For each SRD:
You may want to change the name of the Shared Resource Domain to a
meaningful name to simplify working with the SRD later. Legal characters
for the name are A-Z, a-z, 0-9, the dash character ( - ), the
period ( . ), and the underscore character ( _ ); the first character
must be a letter.
You can change to managed mode if you want gWLM to manage the resources
in the SRD.
Enter a value indicating how many more workloads you want to create
(when creating workloads based on psets or fss groups).
Enter a value indicating how long the resource allocation interval
should be.
For SRDs containing partitions, the default 15 seconds can be too short
for certain systems to move processors between the partitions. If
needed, increase your interval to ensure that these processor movements
are completed within a single allocation interval.
